| Field service resources include the full time commitment of Leon Swanson, Field Services Manager, as well as the full time support of eight field technicians supplemented with the shop technician forces as needed.
Crews are generally sent out in two man teams, each in a fully equipped work van which is large enough to carry most supplies and tools needed for routine jobs as well as allowing some work areas protected from the weather, if needed. Vans are well maintained, with an average of one new truck per year being added.
In addition to work vans, field crews also have full use of various Composites USA equipment including man lifts, forklifts, truck operated cranes, air compressors, sump pumps, welders and other specialty equipment. The teams have their own retrieval gear for confined space entry, and some amount of scaffolding. Due to the changing nature of regulatory requirements, we no longer use our own SCBA's, although we do own them. We also own pumps required for atmospheric air sampling for safe work environments.
Projects a significant distance away from the plant can be staffed on a short term or long term basis. Crews have previously worked for up to 6 months using temporarily rented housing. Training for customer selected contractors is also available. |
