Composites USA test manikins have been used throughout the U.S. and Europe by private industry, government test laboratories, universities and the U.S. Department of Defense. The unit at the right was manufactured using a high performance flame resistant polyester resin and fiberglass. Options are available for high temperature flame resistant versions in epoxy and phenolic resins as well. The units are instrumented with over 100 epoxy encapsulated thermocouples manufactured by Composites USA, connected to a computerized data acquisition system supplied by the customer, and used to measure rates of burn through for fire resistant garments.
